Services: Psychotherapy, Individual and Family Psychoeducation, ISDE
Heather is a Marriage and Family Therapist with experience providing services within the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program. She believes therapy provides a supportive space to slow down, reconnect, and better understand ourselves, our relationships, and the systems that impact our lives. Her work is grounded in systemic therapy, somatic practices, and body-based approaches, recognizing the connection between emotional experiences, the body, relationships, and overall well-being.
Through her experience in CCS, Heather has supported children, adults, and families by helping individuals and their support systems better understand mental health needs, strengthen communication, and develop practical skills that promote stability, independence, and connection. She is passionate about collaborating with families to provide education, explore family dynamics, identify strengths, and support caregivers in creating environments where individuals can feel understood and empowered.
Heather incorporates somatic work to help clients build awareness of their mind-body connection, recognize how stress and emotions show up physically, and develop tools for regulation, grounding, and resilience. She believes healing involves supporting the whole person while honoring each individual’s unique experiences and strengths.
Using a compassionate, strengths-based, and collaborative approach, Heather partners with individuals, families, and natural supports to navigate challenges, improve relationships, and foster meaningful growth. She values community-based care and believes lasting change happens when individuals feel supported, connected, and empowered within their relationships and communities.
